Does everyone else feel like you can never get ahead? Dustin and I had a very busy day Saturday. We were hosting a engagement shower for Christa and Reagan at the house on Saturday evening, and getting ready for it turned into quite a chore! That morning I made a couple dishes for the appetizer table, before heading to Page's baby shower. My sister's best friend/ my other sister Page is expecting a baby girl in June, and my sister, Mom, and her friends threw her a shower at my Mom's house Saturday morning.
While I am at the shower on Saturday Dustin calls with a small panic in his voice. He was looking for his PVC pipe cutters. Of course I ask "why". The sprinkler pipe in the backyard was busted/leaking so there was standing water in the back yard. So after Dustin, Trigger, and Millie took a short trip to Home Depot, and a part of the back yard dug up he had fixed the pipe. By this point we were in a panic to get our house in order before everyone started to arrive. I had to set up the tables, finish the food, and re vacuum the floors. We somehow threw it together, and the other girls hosting helped me finish the rest.
The party was going great, after the mini flood in the dining room from the leaking wine tub. Everyone was having a fun time, and I started to relax. Then Dustin noticed that our freezer was leaking water. GREAT! The freezer had gone out, and was working really hard to try to run. After Dustin left trying to go "find" another freezer in a hurry, he came home with 20 bags of ice for us to put our meat in ice chests for the night. Just what I wanted to hear "we need to buy another freezer".
That morning we went back outside to see if the freezer would work. NOPE! It would try to run and throw the breaker. To Sears we headed. Thank goodness Sear's was having their family and friends sale. We got a good deal on a new freezer, and had to go to the Richmond Sears to pick it up. Just what I wanted to do on my Sunday, when I woke up feeling like I had been hit by a Mack truck. I think I over did it on Saturday. My whole body hurt! I guess when you are pregnant you can't do as much as you normally think you can.
Monday I woke up still feeling very tired and a little sore. Our neighbor’s mother watches their cute little girl on Mondays and Fridays at their house, and she brings her dog. Trigger and this dog do NOT get along. Trigger has literally dug a mud pit in the back yard where he tries to kill this dog through the fence. It is literally a fight for mine and his sanity every Monday and Friday. I go outside to see if the dog is inside before releasing ours to avoid confrontation. This Monday I was still sore and tired, and when I came in Trigger flung the door open to turn loose his rath on the dog. Next Millie flew out the door to join in on the fight. Millie will listen when I call her back, but of course Trigger ignores me. I went to go get him and as I went to grab his collar he pulled back, and I went flying to the ground. Normally I would not worry, but I fell right on my belly. SMOOTH MOVE CASEY. I got very scared and upset. I call Dustin crying; because I was scared I hurt the baby. It was a pretty hard fall. I call the doctor, and she told me to take it easy and lay down, and if I started cramping I need to come in right away. I left Trigger outside, and had to get my Mom to come over and get him inside for me. Luckily baby Clark and myself are fine. Dustin and I had ordered a Doppler offline about a week ago, and it came in on Monday. That really put my mind at ease. It is so cool to listen to the little heart beat whenever we want. I do have to say that baby Clark is defiantly VERY active. We can't hold the heartbeat for very long before he/she moves on to another location.
This weekend Dustin's parents and sister Ashley are coming in to visit. We are really excited, because we have not seen them in awhile. Can't wait for the weekend!

WOW is that a new post???
Yep! I finally decided to write something on the blog...5 months after my last post! We have had a lot of things going on here in the Clark house hold. Lets start from the end of October...
October:
Well in my last post I wrote how Millie was throwing up, and was not getting any better. The worse turned to modifying. Millie ate a Gatorade bottle. After almost dying, emergency surgery, and 4 days in the doggie hospital she is fine. It was the scariest and one of the most emotional time I have ever gone through in my life. I do not know what I am going to do when I have a sick child...we will get to that part later. They pulled 6 large and small pieces out of Millie's intestines that were inflamed and infected. The Dr. did not even know if she was going to make it. She stayed in doggie ICU for 2 nights, and we got to go see her the day before we got to bring her home. I am sure Dustin and I were the most annoying people alive to the All Pets Animal Hospital, because we called every hour on the hour. After a 15 inch incision and 10 days of bed rest (which is really hard for a dog), Millie is back to her normal "I need to eat all the time" self. Of course when all of this craziness was going on it didn't even phase Trigger....but does anything ever??? The dogs in the Clark household now have pet insurance. Best $20 a month we have ever spent! Here is proof Millie is fine....as you can see she was not in the mood for a photo shoot today:

Holidays:
The holidays came and went in a flash! We spent Thanksgiving with my family, and Christmas with Dustin's. Before we knew it 2011 was here. Boy oh Boy were we not ready for what this year had in store!
January 2011:
Millie started throwing up again...this time a small hat to some stuff animal came up with it. Back to the animal hospital. Seriously what is wrong with this dog??? This is the good dog, I would expect this from Trigger not Millie. After more tests, x-rays, and another ultrasound she was sent home. Thank goodness for pet insurance!!!(That's for you Emily ;)) Once she got the toy thrown up, there was nothing left in her...thank goodness!! Toys are not allowed in the Clark house!!! I then had market at the end of January. It is always a very long week, and I was exhausted the entire time. Little did I know the real reasoning why! When I got home from market, Dustin had to brake some very bad news to me. My grandma, Mamaw, had a massive stroke and was in the hospital. We left that night to head to Austin to see her. I am so glad that we made the decision to go that night, because it was not long after that she had passed away. It was a very emotional time, and very unexpected. Only God knew it was her time, and I honestly do not think she suffered, just how she would have wanted to go. She was such a great woman and will never be forgotten. That Monday after Mamaw's funeral Dustin and I headed home. At this point I was beyond physically and mentally exhausted .
When we got home Dustin asked if I wanted a glass of wine. I don't know why I decided to do this, but I went to go and take a pregnancy test first. After a few seconds the thing pops up and says "Pregnant".... OH ****(fill in the blank). That was my first reaction. Then I called Dustin in there, after he said they same thing we left for Walgreen's to buy 8 more. When all 8 of those came up positive we knew we had a bit of a situation on our hands. We had not been "trying" for a baby yet. Ashley is getting married in October, I can't have a baby due around then. These are all the things that I was thinking of. This was NOT planned. God had other plans for us instead....obviously! We went and heard the heartbeat the next week. It was the most amazing thing I have ever heard in my life. God is really good! Then the week after that the sickness set in. Who ever came up with the phrase "morning sickness" must have been a man. Morning doesn't even cover the basis of it. It should be called "I want to beat my head against the wall, and sit by the toilet ALL DAY sickness". That seems to fit how you feel a little bit better. I could smell something, taste something, or think of something and want to throw up everywhere. I only wanted to eat certain foods, and sit or lay in a certain position. The "ALL DAY sickness" got a lot better when I hit week 11, but still not 100%. Sometimes I won't even be nauseous and I will throw up in my mouth...cool feeling. I also had an unusual amount of cramping. This part made me very nervous, but the doctor kept saying it was normal. That too has been better. Now I have these wonderful "hormonal headaches". I usually get them late in the afternoon. Dustin seems to think it is "all in my head". When he said this I wanted to take his head, and beat it up against the wall. Wonder if that pain would be "all in his head". MEN! Anyways, I am nearing the 2 trimester, and things are starting to look up. Below is our first ultrasound picture...hard to believe that the baby is already the size of a lime!

This past weekend my best friend since childhood got married. Lindy was such a beautiful bride, and I was so proud to be her matron of honor and share in the special day. Here is a picture of the beautiful bride right before we went to walk down the isle.
