Miss Kaylee's first shower

This past weekend all the ladies here in Houston threw me a baby shower. They did an awesome job, and Kaylee came out like a champ! We got so much stuff it literally took up her entire bedroom floor! Dustin, Ashley, Gigi, and I went through stuff on Saturday to kinda of get it organized. It really took Dustin and I all day Sunday as well to get things in order. We also realized that the glider I registered for at Target was discontinued...soooo Sunday Dustin and I had to go shopping for a new one. We found this baby at Lazyboy furniture. It is way more comfortable than what I had recently picked out!

Here are a couple pictures of the wonderful shower the girls threw me this weekend! I am so lucky to have such great friends to buy me such awesome things! Thanks to all the ladies that came out this weekend!

We have also been working hard on getting the nursery in order. It is hard to believe that in 6 weeks we could have our little girl here. No complaining if she came in 6 weeks here, I am so HOT and beyond uncomfortable! Not hot as in "that girl is hot", I am hot as in "omg is she really sweating that bad" hot. I will post pictures of the nursery later in the week. Dustin has also been a champ at putting together all the baby stuff. Now we just need to master on how to work all of it. We had a time figuring out one of the strollers already!

Ups and Downs...

I had a really rough week last week. There is nothing more miserable than being almost 8 months pregnant when it is 100+ degrees outside. Well last week I learned that it can be more miserable. I have been trying to fight off this upper respiratory virus that has been going around for about 2 weeks. I have been just ignoring it and kept on doing just as much as I normally do. Last week on Monday I started to feel awful. I have been fighting not taking anything, because it is best to try not to take anything for the baby. I had to break down Monday and call my doctor to ask what I could take. She gave me a list of over the counter meds, and told me to call her if I was not feeling any better in the next couple days. Tuesday I had a super busy work day, and by the end of the day I felt even worse but thought it was from over doing it at work. Wednesday I woke up and felt the worst I have ever felt in my life. I continued to just take the over the counter Robitussin, and went on to my appointments for work. By the time I got home I literally thought I was dying. I went and took a nap while Dustin was mowing the yard. I woke up and had the chills, and I was super dizzy. I went and took my temperature and it was almost 101. I think I was running fever all day, and never thought to take my temperature. Since the doctor was closed I had to call the emergency line and wait for the on call doctor to call me back. She called me back and said to take Tylenol and she was going to call in an antibiotic. What happened is my body could not fight off the virus and it turned into an upper respiratory infection and sinus infection. Now they were worried because of all the fluid build up in my chest. Thursday I did not work and just stayed home to rest. I had a mild fever that morning, and started to feel better. After the morning I did not have a fever for the rest of the day. Friday I woke up feeling fine. No fever. Dustin and I were headed to Lufkin for the weekend for Ashley's bridal shower. That afternoon we headed to Lufkin. Later that night I started to run a high fever again! We called the on call doctor again, and they changed the medication. You can only take certain drugs safe for you and the baby, so they just had to find the one that would fight the infection. Finally it worked. Saturday I woke up feeling great! I did not sound great, and my cough defiantly didn't sound great. We went to Ashley's shower, and man she came out like a champ! She got so much great stuff! I am in love with her pottery. Wish I would have remembered the camera! Christa got some great pictures, so I will just borrow hers as soon as she posts them on facebook. We hung out and cooked fajitas with the family on Saturday evening. It was a very relaxing weekend, which is what I needed.

Monday I had my glucose test and 29 week appointment. I passed my glucose test with flying colors! That drink though was so gross! Seriously they can't come up with something better than that syrup drink? She also was going to check me and the baby out since I have been so sick. Kaylee's heartbeat was perfect, but she did not like the sound in my chest when I was breathing. I had so much fluid build up it really worried the doctor. She told me to finish my medication, and if it got any worse that I would have to go to a specialist. She also advised me to take it easy for the next couple of days and rest. Thankfully the medication worked, and today I can actually breath with out the sound of fluid rumbling around.

This weekend is my baby shower, and I am so excited. I know all the ladies will do a wonderful job, they are the best! I will remember my camera for this one. I will also try to take an updated picture of the nursery. Dustin and I worked on it yesterday. It is hard to believe that on Friday I will be 30 weeks! Only 10 more weeks...hopefully less!! It has gone by so fast!

I also TOTALLY forgot to register for all the wonderful birthing classes. Basically I waited way to long and everything is booked. I will be the lady in the birthing class who could literally go into labor in the class....whoops...I know Dustin is also SUPER thrilled about the breast feeding class. HAHA!

Busy Busy Busy

We have had a busy couple of weeks around the Clark household. I went to market in Dallas for work a solid week, followed by our vacation in South Padre with my family. Market was really rough. It is always super busy, and I run non-stop from 7:30am to about 9 or 10pm. It is usually very tiring, but add 7 months pregnant to that and you get overly exhausted. We were very busy, and I had a great market sales wise. My feet, legs, and Kaylee like to think otherwise. By the end of the day my feet and legs were swollen, and Kaylee was very pissed by her aggressively kicking me all over. It is tough being on your feet all day long and running from one showroom to another....literally. I am so glad that I am finished with market, and get to get back to a normal routine. I flew into Harligen strait from Dallas last Monday. We had a lot of fun in South Padre, minus me working all the time. The men went fishing everyday but Thursday. It rained all day on Thursday. The women did our best to entertain Ryder. He had a blast though! We took him to see the sea turtles, get hermit crabs (named Ally and Whopper), and to a touch and see Aquarium. I was exhausted just watching him run up and down the beach chasing sea gulls. Kids have so much energy!! I wish I had half as much energy as he does. Bear is the sweetest baby alive and just let us drag him around everywhere. He never makes a peep! Just lies there and smiles at you.

We got settled at home Friday after returning from South Padre, and Dustin's parents came in town Saturday. Friday we went and picked Millie and Trigger up from the kennel. Trigger had so much fun. He was sleeping in the car before we even got out of the parking lot. Millie didn't even get sick! I think we finally found a place to board the dogs at. Saturday Dustin's Mom went to visit Whitney and baby Julia. My plan was to go meet her over there, but I was so tired I literally slept almost the whole day. I guess the 2 weeks of no sleep were finally catching up with me. We had a lot of fun with them, and was sad the visit was so short. We ate La Finca for dinner Saturday, and then went to Cracker Barrel for breakfast Sunday...every pregnant girls dream.

Here I am in all 7 months of glory:
