The Baby's Bedroom

Ever since I found out I was pregnant I have been planning the bedroom. I already had the little girl bedding picked out:

Dustin and I have been thinking about names. I found out I was pregnant on the day of my Grandma Boeer's funeral, and we wanted to use part of her name if it was a girl. We decided that we would use her middle name Marie. We went through a bunch of girl names and kept going back to Kaylee. We just loved how it flowed with Marie Clark. So we decided her name will be Kaylee Marie Clark.

I could not hold back anymore, and needed to start on the room NOW. I mean we did find out the sex 24 hours ago...what are we waiting for ;). I was at Hobby Lobby today and found the initial letters there for 50% off. I decided to go ahead and buy them and some paint. A whopping $11.00 later I had her initials KMC and pink and brown paint to match her room. Tonight Dustin and I painted the letters, and put different strips on them to match the bedding. I think they came out pretty darn cute if I do say so myself.

Last but not least if you do not like the name...don't tell me! I am really in love with the name and don't need your negativity!

Baby Clark Is A....

We had our gender ultrasound today. Both Dustin and I were so excited we could hardly wait!!! We have gone back in forth on what we think the little baby might be, but today they settled it for everyone.

Dustin's Mom came in from Lufkin, and my Mom went with us to the doctor's office as well. We went and ate at Which Wich before the appointment, and Dustin's Mom brought me this super delicious big bunny sugar cookie. I ate the giant cookie right before our appointment, and I do not regret consuming all those calories at all. That is the whole point of being pregnant right??? I eat really well most of the time, and have gained under the recommended weight to this point. I bet all of you are wondering huh????

We got to the doctor office and went back right away. The tech started to look at the baby and it was SO active. It was kicking it's little feet, arms, and doing the alligator death roll. Even the tech was like, "wow we have an active little one". Then she got to the part we have been waiting for. It is a healthy baby...GIRL!!! I thought my Mom was going to cry and scream in the room. She really did scream in the elevator. My sister has 2 boys, and my Mom has been wanting a little girl. Dustin's Mom was super thrilled as well. Dustin and I had a feeling it was a girl, and we are both thrilled. So thrilled that we went to Carter's in the mall after the appointment and spent $100 on cute little girl dresses, and clothes. Dustin's Mom couldn't resist either. Looks like we are in trouble!!! She already has us around her little finger. I will try to post some pictures later. I have to go feed Dustin, he is waiting on dinner.

Welcome Baby Bear!

I have had a really bad work day, and am tired of dealing with crap so I decided to take a break. You know one of those kinds of days????

My sister had her baby on Friday at around 6pm. Bear Anderson Reeve is a healthy baby boy who was 7 lbs and ?oz and 20 inches long. Mommy and baby are both doing fine. We were in Lufkin and Tyler for Ashley's shower, so I went to Kyle on Monday to see him.

I had an appointment for work that morning so I did not end up getting to Kyle till about 1:30. Courtney and Bear were napping so I played with Ryder till they got up. He is adorable! So cute and small! He was wearing this cute little onzie that said "I still live with my parents".

I took Ryder to the movies later that afternoon to see "Hop". He was so excited. As soon as I walked in the door when I got there he told me "Me and Cici go see Hop at the movies". It was all he would talk about that afternoon. When we got there we got some popcorn and Sprite and found our seats. Good thing we were the only ones in the theater, because Ryder didn't know how to use an inside voice when he needed to tell me he had popcorn in his teeth or needed to tee tee. He loved the movie, and laughed and named all the animals the whole time. It really made me realize the innocence of a child, and how precious and great they really are! They are truly a gift from God, and I can't wait till Dustin and I get to meet our little one.

Bear sleeps all night like a good baby, and Courtney has to wake him up to feed him. Ryder is starting to enjoy being a big brother and even asks to hold Bear. When you let him "hold" him he says "OK pick her up". haha he keeps calling him a her. He is such a crazy 2 year old.

Dustin and I have an ultrasound on Monday to find out the sex!!! Can't wait!!! Other than that we are going to get some things done around the house this weekend, and head to Weimar for Easter on Sunday. As you can tell by the picture below Trigger is excited. FYI this is the reason why I can not make our bed in the morning. This 44 pound lap dog sleeps in till about 9:30 or 10 most days.

Busy Weekend

This weekend is a busy and exciting one for us. My sister for one is going to have her baby tomorrow! YAY!! I can't wait to see what my second little nephew will look like. Will he have a full head of hair? Will he be as long as Ryder was? Will he look just like Charlie too? I can't wait to meet little Bear Anderson Reeve. Ryder however is going to be VERY disappointed when they get home, and the baby is not an actual Bear. She is going in Friday morning, so please say a prayer for Courtney and Bear Friday morning. I am going to head to Kyle early Monday morning to meet the new precious baby in the family!

Dustin and I are headed to Lufkin this weekend. We are both very excited, because we have not had a chance to go up there and spend a weekend in a long time. Millie and Trigger are both very excited as well! Ashley and Tyler are having a couples shower in Tyler on Saturday. We will be heading to Tyler Saturday afternoon to spend some time with the soon to be married couple!

We also got some exciting news that we will get to find out the sex of the baby in 10 days! We moved my doctors appointment up 3 days. Dustin's cousin Whitney is expecting as well, and she has an ultrasound on the 25th that his Aunt Pam is coming in to see. We decided that it would be easier for us to move ours up as well, so Dustin's Mom could ride down from Lufkin with Pam. I called this morning, and they are going to fit us in at 1:30 on the 25th! So excited! As you can see I am getting a little bigger every week. Please ignore my ugly PJ pants. I go with whats comfy in the afternoons. My little shadow Millie also decided to make an appearance in the picture. I will be 16 weeks tomorrow.

Times are Changing...

We have had a lot of changes this past week. My belly for one is getting bigger by the day! Now that I am in my second trimester I feel really good! I had to brake down and put on the maternity pants this week. I do not know why it took me so long to do this...THEY ARE AWESOME. They are not the most attractive things ever, but I am loving the elastic easy stretch waist. We went to the doctor on Tuesday, and had a CVS test and ultrasound. This test is to check for birth defects to better prepare yourself for the baby. Everything checked out fine! I am measuring about 4 days ahead, and the baby is about 4 inches long. They told us that in the next 3 weeks the baby will almost triple in size! Maybe that's why my belly looks like this already:

We get to go back on April 28th to find out the sex of the baby. I keep telling myself it's a girl. I mean my sister has boys so surely I would have girls. Saturday when we were in Boerne my sister and Charlie asked if we had taken "The Gender Test". We said no, and they insisted that after we finish dinner we go purchase one. They took this test for Ryder and Bear, which was right both times. They also had several friends that took the test too, and it was right for them as well. I have heard that they are not accurate at all, but what do we have to lose...right??? So after we went and ate dinner we ventured to CVS, and bought the test. Courtney went in with me, and poor thing is about to pop with Bear. I told her she needs to go in and ask where the pregnancy tests are...haha she didn't. Well you can't take the test till the morning, so at 6am Dustin is telling me to go take the test. As we all know I am not a morning person, so I was not thrilled about doing this at 6am. I took the test, and with out hesitation it turns as brown as the BOY brown could turn on the test box. Yep, I was just SOOO sure it was going to read girl, and it was way BOY. Now I am second guessing myself on what the baby really is. Guess we will find out for sure on the 28th.

We also had another change this week. We traded in Dustin's truck for a Suburban. We have been watching our gas bill for the past 3 months, and it kept getting higher and higher. After this months bill that is so expensive I won't even mention how much, we decided that it was time to cut the diesel guzzling hog loose. We talked a lot about different options, and with the baby on the way this was the best move for us as a family. Luckily our future brother in law, Tyler, is a Chevrolet salesman. It was the easiest car deal we ever had to do. We also got a SMOKING deal on the burb too! We are so lucky that Ashely has met such a great guy, who was willing to help us out. GM was running a 0% interest rate too that ended on Friday, so we went ahead and sealed the deal. We picked up the beauty today. Below is a picture of our new burb:

After we picked it up we went to my parents to show off our new prize. Dad has the exact same one, but the interior is different in the inside. He was very sad at me for not telling him we were selling the truck. He wanted to buy it for the farm in Weimar...HOW WAS I SUPPOSE TO KNOW?? OK here's the deal. Friday when I talked to Mom she said that Dad's boat broke down as they were scouting for fish for his tournament that weekend. That is why I did not call him. I knew that he was already pissed that his motor was broken, and would not have time to chat about buying the truck. So there. After further discussions he decided that he was going to buy the truck back from Tyler's dealership. Dustin called Tyler, and they settled on a price. So it looks like Dustin will get to drive his "dream truck" whenever he wants in Weimar. Everything worked out fine!

Dad is having surgery this Wednesday on his sinuses so please say a prayer for him on Wednesday morning...and for my Mom who is going to have to take care of him after.

On a closing note if you ever are in search of a new or used GM vehicle, please call Teague Chevrolet in Mabank and ask for Tyler :).

It is never ending...

Does everyone else feel like you can never get ahead? Dustin and I had a very busy day Saturday. We were hosting a engagement shower for Christa and Reagan at the house on Saturday evening, and getting ready for it turned into quite a chore! That morning I made a couple dishes for the appetizer table, before heading to Page's baby shower. My sister's best friend/ my other sister Page is expecting a baby girl in June, and my sister, Mom, and her friends threw her a shower at my Mom's house Saturday morning.

While I am at the shower on Saturday Dustin calls with a small panic in his voice. He was looking for his PVC pipe cutters. Of course I ask "why". The sprinkler pipe in the backyard was busted/leaking so there was standing water in the back yard. So after Dustin, Trigger, and Millie took a short trip to Home Depot, and a part of the back yard dug up he had fixed the pipe. By this point we were in a panic to get our house in order before everyone started to arrive. I had to set up the tables, finish the food, and re vacuum the floors. We somehow threw it together, and the other girls hosting helped me finish the rest.

The party was going great, after the mini flood in the dining room from the leaking wine tub. Everyone was having a fun time, and I started to relax. Then Dustin noticed that our freezer was leaking water. GREAT! The freezer had gone out, and was working really hard to try to run. After Dustin left trying to go "find" another freezer in a hurry, he came home with 20 bags of ice for us to put our meat in ice chests for the night. Just what I wanted to hear "we need to buy another freezer".

That morning we went back outside to see if the freezer would work. NOPE! It would try to run and throw the breaker. To Sears we headed. Thank goodness Sear's was having their family and friends sale. We got a good deal on a new freezer, and had to go to the Richmond Sears to pick it up. Just what I wanted to do on my Sunday, when I woke up feeling like I had been hit by a Mack truck. I think I over did it on Saturday. My whole body hurt! I guess when you are pregnant you can't do as much as you normally think you can.

Monday I woke up still feeling very tired and a little sore. Our neighbor’s mother watches their cute little girl on Mondays and Fridays at their house, and she brings her dog. Trigger and this dog do NOT get along. Trigger has literally dug a mud pit in the back yard where he tries to kill this dog through the fence. It is literally a fight for mine and his sanity every Monday and Friday. I go outside to see if the dog is inside before releasing ours to avoid confrontation. This Monday I was still sore and tired, and when I came in Trigger flung the door open to turn loose his rath on the dog. Next Millie flew out the door to join in on the fight. Millie will listen when I call her back, but of course Trigger ignores me. I went to go get him and as I went to grab his collar he pulled back, and I went flying to the ground. Normally I would not worry, but I fell right on my belly. SMOOTH MOVE CASEY. I got very scared and upset. I call Dustin crying; because I was scared I hurt the baby. It was a pretty hard fall. I call the doctor, and she told me to take it easy and lay down, and if I started cramping I need to come in right away. I left Trigger outside, and had to get my Mom to come over and get him inside for me. Luckily baby Clark and myself are fine. Dustin and I had ordered a Doppler offline about a week ago, and it came in on Monday. That really put my mind at ease. It is so cool to listen to the little heart beat whenever we want. I do have to say that baby Clark is defiantly VERY active. We can't hold the heartbeat for very long before he/she moves on to another location.

This weekend Dustin's parents and sister Ashley are coming in to visit. We are really excited, because we have not seen them in awhile. Can't wait for the weekend!

WOW is that a new post???

Yep! I finally decided to write something on the blog...5 months after my last post! We have had a lot of things going on here in the Clark house hold. Lets start from the end of October...

October:
Well in my last post I wrote how Millie was throwing up, and was not getting any better. The worse turned to modifying. Millie ate a Gatorade bottle. After almost dying, emergency surgery, and 4 days in the doggie hospital she is fine. It was the scariest and one of the most emotional time I have ever gone through in my life. I do not know what I am going to do when I have a sick child...we will get to that part later. They pulled 6 large and small pieces out of Millie's intestines that were inflamed and infected. The Dr. did not even know if she was going to make it. She stayed in doggie ICU for 2 nights, and we got to go see her the day before we got to bring her home. I am sure Dustin and I were the most annoying people alive to the All Pets Animal Hospital, because we called every hour on the hour. After a 15 inch incision and 10 days of bed rest (which is really hard for a dog), Millie is back to her normal "I need to eat all the time" self. Of course when all of this craziness was going on it didn't even phase Trigger....but does anything ever??? The dogs in the Clark household now have pet insurance. Best $20 a month we have ever spent! Here is proof Millie is fine....as you can see she was not in the mood for a photo shoot today:
Millie in ICU:

Millie today:

Trigger would like to wish everyone a Happy St. Patty's Day:

Holidays:
The holidays came and went in a flash! We spent Thanksgiving with my family, and Christmas with Dustin's. Before we knew it 2011 was here. Boy oh Boy were we not ready for what this year had in store!

January 2011:
Millie started throwing up again...this time a small hat to some stuff animal came up with it. Back to the animal hospital. Seriously what is wrong with this dog??? This is the good dog, I would expect this from Trigger not Millie. After more tests, x-rays, and another ultrasound she was sent home. Thank goodness for pet insurance!!!(That's for you Emily ;)) Once she got the toy thrown up, there was nothing left in her...thank goodness!! Toys are not allowed in the Clark house!!! I then had market at the end of January. It is always a very long week, and I was exhausted the entire time. Little did I know the real reasoning why! When I got home from market, Dustin had to brake some very bad news to me. My grandma, Mamaw, had a massive stroke and was in the hospital. We left that night to head to Austin to see her. I am so glad that we made the decision to go that night, because it was not long after that she had passed away. It was a very emotional time, and very unexpected. Only God knew it was her time, and I honestly do not think she suffered, just how she would have wanted to go. She was such a great woman and will never be forgotten. That Monday after Mamaw's funeral Dustin and I headed home. At this point I was beyond physically and mentally exhausted .

When we got home Dustin asked if I wanted a glass of wine. I don't know why I decided to do this, but I went to go and take a pregnancy test first. After a few seconds the thing pops up and says "Pregnant".... OH ****(fill in the blank). That was my first reaction. Then I called Dustin in there, after he said they same thing we left for Walgreen's to buy 8 more. When all 8 of those came up positive we knew we had a bit of a situation on our hands. We had not been "trying" for a baby yet. Ashley is getting married in October, I can't have a baby due around then. These are all the things that I was thinking of. This was NOT planned. God had other plans for us instead....obviously! We went and heard the heartbeat the next week. It was the most amazing thing I have ever heard in my life. God is really good! Then the week after that the sickness set in. Who ever came up with the phrase "morning sickness" must have been a man. Morning doesn't even cover the basis of it. It should be called "I want to beat my head against the wall, and sit by the toilet ALL DAY sickness". That seems to fit how you feel a little bit better. I could smell something, taste something, or think of something and want to throw up everywhere. I only wanted to eat certain foods, and sit or lay in a certain position. The "ALL DAY sickness" got a lot better when I hit week 11, but still not 100%. Sometimes I won't even be nauseous and I will throw up in my mouth...cool feeling. I also had an unusual amount of cramping. This part made me very nervous, but the doctor kept saying it was normal. That too has been better. Now I have these wonderful "hormonal headaches". I usually get them late in the afternoon. Dustin seems to think it is "all in my head". When he said this I wanted to take his head, and beat it up against the wall. Wonder if that pain would be "all in his head". MEN! Anyways, I am nearing the 2 trimester, and things are starting to look up. Below is our first ultrasound picture...hard to believe that the baby is already the size of a lime!

This past weekend my best friend since childhood got married. Lindy was such a beautiful bride, and I was so proud to be her matron of honor and share in the special day. Here is a picture of the beautiful bride right before we went to walk down the isle.
