Caught Ya!

I have been so frustrated lately when I get ready everyday. I don't even wash my hair everyday anymore, because I sweat so bad while getting ready. I know TMI. I am so hot ALL the time, and getting ready for me right now is like I have run a full marathon. I have a fan that blows directly on me the entire time, and I still sweat like I am working out. This heat is something else that frustrates me. It is a pointless effort for me to even get ready, and go work out in the heat all day long. I am beyond ready for this baby to come. I can't even get the clothes out of the dryer anymore. My belly is in the way, and I can't carry the basket. I have to wait for Dustin to carry the baskets for me. Pathetic! The next 4 weeks can not come quick enough. I am very ready to meet this little one.

Anyways! I was in a bad mood and a hurry to get out the door this morning after getting ready. I usually have to do a sweep through the house, and make sure that it is "Trigger Proof". Everything has to be put away and out of his reach. If not when we come home whatever it might be will be in a million tiny pieces scattered through out the house. I quickly did the sweep and scurried out the door dripping sweat still from getting ready. I get down I-10 to Westgreen and realize I did not put the cookies on the counter in the pantry. I exit, you turn, and speed home. I snuck into the house, because I was sure they both had devoured the yummy cookies that were left on the counter already. No one came to greet me as I came in....this means one thing, TROUBLE. I turn the corner to the kitchen and I can not believe my eyes. Trigger is standing on the counter top, and Millie is patiently sitting on the floor. She was waiting for Trigger to push the cookie container onto the floor so they could have them a morning snack! What a team. Too bad I ruined their plan, and no one got cookies. Trigger stood on the counter for a minute starring at me, like "oh shit". Millie quickly caught on and ran back to living room and laid down. I swear these 2 never seem to surprise me!

Don't let them fool you...they aren't as innocent as they look!

Getting Close!

We are getting close! I am 34 weeks now, and getting more uncomfortable by the day! I feel good, but the swelling has started to set in. My wedding rings no longer fit, and on a good day I can still get my Aggie ring on. My feet and legs start to swell by the end of the day, and it is very uncomfortable. I also have troubles standing up, and just moving around in general. Other than that I still feel pretty good. I went to the doctor last Monday, and have had a lot of pressure. The doctor said that the baby has dropped, but other than that no other movement.

Wednesday night Dustin and I took a breastfeeding class. Dustin came just for moral support, and his face was priceless the entire class! Surprisingly the men in the class asked more questions then the women. Dustin looked at me and said "who is going to be doing the breastfeeding in their house?". HA! One of the men even had the nerve to ask the instructor when his wife can start working out again...I wanted to slap him for her! What a great husband for going with me and sitting through a class where every other word was breast for 2 1/2 hours.

Millie had surgery on Tuesday. Last week she had a bump jump up on her face by her eye. I thought she had been bit by a spider. After a couple days of giving her Bendryl and it not going down I took her to the vet. They did a biopsy of the lump, and it had abnormal cells in the biopsy. This means that she had some form of cancer. They decided the best option would be to take the lump off. We decided that while she was under to have her teeth cleaned as well. They also found a tooth that she had chipped and was infected, so they decided to pull the tooth. Thank goodness we have already met our deductible for our pet insurance. They paid for the tumor procedure and tooth pull. Saved us A LOT of money. I highly recommend getting pet insurance for your dogs! We are still waiting on the results of the tumor.

This weekend we stayed here in Katy and took an online birthing class, and cleaned up my office. Next weekend we are planning on going to Pipe Creek, since we most likely wont be able to go again till after the baby is born and settled. This heat is absolutely miserable for me, so i basically do not go outside unless it is an emergency or if I need to for work. So I am looking forward to going to Pipe Creek, putting on my very flattering maternity swim suit, and soaking up some rays in the pool.

Lufkin Shower and the Nursery

This past weekend Dustin and I headed to Lufkin to my shower. We got so much stuff! Kaylee may not ever have to wear the same thing twice for an entire year! We also got our stroller car seat combo from Dustin's Aunts and Granny (YAY!!), and our pack-and-play. We got so much great stuff again! My Mom and sister also came up for the day with my 2 nephews. Dustin babysat Ryder, and the rest of us went to the shower. We are pretty much set. We are so blessed to have such great family and friends. Here are some pictures from the shower this weekend:

Our house is slowly being taken over by baby stuff! Dustin has been so great about putting the stuff together. He is always more "on the ball" than I am, so it's great to have someone that wants to get stuff done. If it was up to me we may not even have the crib and room put together till about 2 days before she is born. Ha. I am just a HUGE procrastinator. We have the nursery just about ready, and clothes washed up to 6 months. Here are a couple pictures (You may notice the "wheres waldo" in one of the pictures, Trigger is so nosey):

We are running out of room to put things, so our dining room is the storage area for now.

Since my doctors office now gives you an option on where to birth we went and toured the new Methodist hospital today. Memorial Hermann is a really nice hospital, but Methodist is just a little bit nicer. I am pretty sure that this is where Miss Kaylee will make her appearance. The rooms are HUGE and all of their facilities are super fancy. We are getting close, and Dustin and I are REALLY excited. Only 6 1/2 weeks or less!! I am so ready to meet our wonderful little surprise! Wonder who she is going to look like?? I am still doing good! Just very tired and HOT!! Seriously can't we have some temperatures under 100 degrees??

Miss Kaylee's first shower

This past weekend all the ladies here in Houston threw me a baby shower. They did an awesome job, and Kaylee came out like a champ! We got so much stuff it literally took up her entire bedroom floor! Dustin, Ashley, Gigi, and I went through stuff on Saturday to kinda of get it organized. It really took Dustin and I all day Sunday as well to get things in order. We also realized that the glider I registered for at Target was discontinued...soooo Sunday Dustin and I had to go shopping for a new one. We found this baby at Lazyboy furniture. It is way more comfortable than what I had recently picked out!

Here are a couple pictures of the wonderful shower the girls threw me this weekend! I am so lucky to have such great friends to buy me such awesome things! Thanks to all the ladies that came out this weekend!

We have also been working hard on getting the nursery in order. It is hard to believe that in 6 weeks we could have our little girl here. No complaining if she came in 6 weeks here, I am so HOT and beyond uncomfortable! Not hot as in "that girl is hot", I am hot as in "omg is she really sweating that bad" hot. I will post pictures of the nursery later in the week. Dustin has also been a champ at putting together all the baby stuff. Now we just need to master on how to work all of it. We had a time figuring out one of the strollers already!

Ups and Downs...

I had a really rough week last week. There is nothing more miserable than being almost 8 months pregnant when it is 100+ degrees outside. Well last week I learned that it can be more miserable. I have been trying to fight off this upper respiratory virus that has been going around for about 2 weeks. I have been just ignoring it and kept on doing just as much as I normally do. Last week on Monday I started to feel awful. I have been fighting not taking anything, because it is best to try not to take anything for the baby. I had to break down Monday and call my doctor to ask what I could take. She gave me a list of over the counter meds, and told me to call her if I was not feeling any better in the next couple days. Tuesday I had a super busy work day, and by the end of the day I felt even worse but thought it was from over doing it at work. Wednesday I woke up and felt the worst I have ever felt in my life. I continued to just take the over the counter Robitussin, and went on to my appointments for work. By the time I got home I literally thought I was dying. I went and took a nap while Dustin was mowing the yard. I woke up and had the chills, and I was super dizzy. I went and took my temperature and it was almost 101. I think I was running fever all day, and never thought to take my temperature. Since the doctor was closed I had to call the emergency line and wait for the on call doctor to call me back. She called me back and said to take Tylenol and she was going to call in an antibiotic. What happened is my body could not fight off the virus and it turned into an upper respiratory infection and sinus infection. Now they were worried because of all the fluid build up in my chest. Thursday I did not work and just stayed home to rest. I had a mild fever that morning, and started to feel better. After the morning I did not have a fever for the rest of the day. Friday I woke up feeling fine. No fever. Dustin and I were headed to Lufkin for the weekend for Ashley's bridal shower. That afternoon we headed to Lufkin. Later that night I started to run a high fever again! We called the on call doctor again, and they changed the medication. You can only take certain drugs safe for you and the baby, so they just had to find the one that would fight the infection. Finally it worked. Saturday I woke up feeling great! I did not sound great, and my cough defiantly didn't sound great. We went to Ashley's shower, and man she came out like a champ! She got so much great stuff! I am in love with her pottery. Wish I would have remembered the camera! Christa got some great pictures, so I will just borrow hers as soon as she posts them on facebook. We hung out and cooked fajitas with the family on Saturday evening. It was a very relaxing weekend, which is what I needed.

Monday I had my glucose test and 29 week appointment. I passed my glucose test with flying colors! That drink though was so gross! Seriously they can't come up with something better than that syrup drink? She also was going to check me and the baby out since I have been so sick. Kaylee's heartbeat was perfect, but she did not like the sound in my chest when I was breathing. I had so much fluid build up it really worried the doctor. She told me to finish my medication, and if it got any worse that I would have to go to a specialist. She also advised me to take it easy for the next couple of days and rest. Thankfully the medication worked, and today I can actually breath with out the sound of fluid rumbling around.

This weekend is my baby shower, and I am so excited. I know all the ladies will do a wonderful job, they are the best! I will remember my camera for this one. I will also try to take an updated picture of the nursery. Dustin and I worked on it yesterday. It is hard to believe that on Friday I will be 30 weeks! Only 10 more weeks...hopefully less!! It has gone by so fast!

I also TOTALLY forgot to register for all the wonderful birthing classes. Basically I waited way to long and everything is booked. I will be the lady in the birthing class who could literally go into labor in the class....whoops...I know Dustin is also SUPER thrilled about the breast feeding class. HAHA!

Busy Busy Busy

We have had a busy couple of weeks around the Clark household. I went to market in Dallas for work a solid week, followed by our vacation in South Padre with my family. Market was really rough. It is always super busy, and I run non-stop from 7:30am to about 9 or 10pm. It is usually very tiring, but add 7 months pregnant to that and you get overly exhausted. We were very busy, and I had a great market sales wise. My feet, legs, and Kaylee like to think otherwise. By the end of the day my feet and legs were swollen, and Kaylee was very pissed by her aggressively kicking me all over. It is tough being on your feet all day long and running from one showroom to another....literally. I am so glad that I am finished with market, and get to get back to a normal routine. I flew into Harligen strait from Dallas last Monday. We had a lot of fun in South Padre, minus me working all the time. The men went fishing everyday but Thursday. It rained all day on Thursday. The women did our best to entertain Ryder. He had a blast though! We took him to see the sea turtles, get hermit crabs (named Ally and Whopper), and to a touch and see Aquarium. I was exhausted just watching him run up and down the beach chasing sea gulls. Kids have so much energy!! I wish I had half as much energy as he does. Bear is the sweetest baby alive and just let us drag him around everywhere. He never makes a peep! Just lies there and smiles at you.

We got settled at home Friday after returning from South Padre, and Dustin's parents came in town Saturday. Friday we went and picked Millie and Trigger up from the kennel. Trigger had so much fun. He was sleeping in the car before we even got out of the parking lot. Millie didn't even get sick! I think we finally found a place to board the dogs at. Saturday Dustin's Mom went to visit Whitney and baby Julia. My plan was to go meet her over there, but I was so tired I literally slept almost the whole day. I guess the 2 weeks of no sleep were finally catching up with me. We had a lot of fun with them, and was sad the visit was so short. We ate La Finca for dinner Saturday, and then went to Cracker Barrel for breakfast Sunday...every pregnant girls dream.

Here I am in all 7 months of glory:

The Almighty Fisherman

This past weekend Dustin fished in a tournament with my Dad, his friend Don, and Reagan. I am sure Reagan was totally in awe, because you never know what is going to come out of my Dad's mouth. He also never shuts his mouth....EVER. The Caney Creek Tournament started in Matagorda on Saturday morning and ran through Sunday at noon. They woke up super early Saturday, and my Dad took them to all his secret spots to wade fish. He was exhausted when he got home, but had a blast! Sunday was the weigh in and the truth was told on how they did. Saturday my Dad caught a 26 inch Red fish, Dustin caught at 24 inch Red, and Reagan a 22 inch Red. Sunday morning Dustin caught a big trout! My dad thought he was going to win the tournament with it. In case you were all wondering big trout are really hard to catch. Why? I don't know, I will ask my Dad when he gets back from Europe. That is just what the ol' wise Bubba told me. At the weigh in my Dad came in a close 3rd with this Red Fish, but the pay out was only on the top 2 Red Fish. Better luck next time Bubba...I am still proud of you. Dustin actually won 2nd with his trout, and almost had 1st place. I am so proud of him! He also got a big payout, and a plaque. I as more excited about the cash then the plaque.ha! Below is a picture of the fisherman with his red fish and winning trout:

Here is a picture of some of the fish they caught. The rest Dustin had already filleted.

I stayed in Katy, and went shopping with my Mom. We went to Homegoods and got more stuff for Kaylee's room. I haven't put any of it up yet, but will post pictures when we get around to it. I also had MORE emotional breakdowns this weekend....imagine that. Dustin called Sunday morning and I was all pissy. He asked what was wrong and my response "I don't get to have any fun.". He asked, "what would you like to do". My response, "Drink and ride on a boat". You know because there are so many Sunday mornings that I am sipping on a alcoholic beverage while riding on a boat. I am such a mess these days!!!!!!
