We had our doctors appointment and ultrasound this morning. Last night I started to have very sharp pains, and LOTS of pressure. I really thought I might be going into Labor last night. I have had a lot of pressure, but I knew it was because she said the baby had dropped. It is very uncomfortable and hurts.
First we had the ultrasound. The tech checked everything out, and she is measuring about a week ahead. She was measuring 37 weeks and 4 days. She was in the 70% for weight at 6.91 pounds. That means if I carry her till the 21st she could be 9 pounds or over! I have to say that I hope that she is not over 9 pounds...especially if my cell count goes down anymore and I can not have an epidural. That would make for a not so fun delivery for me! I am suppose to have the results to my blood test by Friday. They may induce earlier if my cell count is down again. The tech showed us all of her features. She also said she has a FULL head of hair. I am fully convinced this comes from Dustin's side. My side has always had bald babies. I also think her nose looks like Dustin's. In the ultrasound she kept grabbing her foot with her hands...so cute! I am SO excited to meet her!
I had my doctors appointment following the ultrasound. I told her about all the pain I was having the night before. She then proceeded to tell me that the baby has fully dropped. The pain I was having the night before was from her dropping. She said that i have not dilated, but the baby is as low as she can possibly go with out coming out in labor. Since she is so low they went ahead and gave me all my paperwork to check into the hospital. She said that it could possibly be any day, or she may stick around till we induce. My sister was the same way with her first. Ryder had dropped, and she did not start dilating till she was in active labor. I now just have to live with a constant pain till Miss Kaylee makes her appearance. Talk about a pregnant waddle, I have the biggest one you seen! Dustin was suppose to leave for Reagan's bachelor party on Friday. Since we are not sure when I will go into labor, and it could be sooner than later we decided it would be best if he stuck around. I would just hate for him to drive 4 or 5 hours away to the Frio, and I go into labor. It would not be a good thing if he couldn't make it back, and missed his first child's birth!

Labor Day Annual Trigon Hunt
This past weekend we headed to San Antonio for my Dad's company annual dove hunt. I usually join the boys in the field, but I felt being 9 months pregnant and shooting a gun was not a good idea. Plus, I have a hard time just walking from the house to my car in the driveway in this heat. There was no way I could hunt all afternoon in the heat. Although I was sad to sit the hunt out this year...I did have a blast shopping with my Mom and her friend Kim. We had a lot of fun, and shopped till we dropped Saturday. I had to come back and take a nap that afternoon! Of course since college football started this weekend we watched several games. The men did really well on their hunts, and all got plenty of birds. We went to dinner Saturday night at a really good Mexican Restaurant. Everyone had margaritas, and I sooo wanted to drink one too! Next year...
Sunday after breakfast us women shopped on the riverwalk. I must have done a lot of walking, because I had to take a break and sit down. We even had to go into a Salt Grass and sit down. I really thought I was going to go into labor. I kept telling my Mom I needed to call Dustin to come get me. I did not think I could walk back to the hotel. My Mom got on her phone and found that if we walk out on the street we were only .02 miles away from the hotel. I managed to walk back.Ha. Since the Aggies were playing Sunday night we ordered pizza and watched the game in the room. Everyone had pizza and beer, so I had pizza and Pepsi. I don't think drinking something caffeinated that late was a good idea. Kaylee was up ALL night moving and kicking around. I was beyond exhausted the next day.
Dustin had meetings in Austin Tuesday morning, so we decided to stay the night in Pipe Creek. We would just get up Tuesday morning and go to Austin. Since the nice front came through Sunday night it was wonderful in Pipe Creek! All the animals were just roaming around. I sat by the pool for a while and got some sun. We turned in early Monday night. I was so tired from not sleeping the night before that it did not hurt my feelings at all to go to bed early.
Tuesday morning, my birthday, we got up and drove to Austin. While Dustin was finishing up things with the company Halliburton is moving from Austin to Houston, I went to the mall. I needed to go to MAC for makeup, and was on a mission to find Kaylee some pants. She has a ton of onsies, and I thought with the weather changing soon I should find her some pants to go over them. I found a really good deal at Children's Place, and got her jeans and stretch pants for $2.99! We ate my birthday lunch and started our way home. With all the fires in Basdrop we had to detour around to 290. It is so sad to see all the fires here in Texas. It literally looked like the world was coming to an end in Basdrop. Please pray for all the families who have lost their homes. The news last said that there are over 1,000 homes lost. Also, please pray for RAIN! We defiantly need it!

Very Unexpected
Tuesday as I was working on getting invoices together to go see my Rachael's Hallmark chain I got a very unexpected call. One of my bosses, the son of the owner of the company, was calling me. I answered not knowing what he might be calling for. He asked if I had a minute. He proceeded to lay me off from the job that I was 100% dedicated and loyal to for 4 1/2 years. I was in total shock. I argued with him, and he really did not have a good reason for letting me go. He also told me that it was not up for discussion, they have already hired someone else. The only words I could come to were "are you really laying me off 3 weeks before I have a baby"? He sat there in silence. I then answered with "Is it because I am pregnant, and having a baby"? He jumped in and claimed that it was not the case. He just felt I was not much of a leader and not posting things on Chatter...So they lay off one of their top sales reps for not being a leader? They fired me, when every year I would receive a different reward with in the company for my fantastic work? I just lost the job that I built the entire territory, when there was not any customer base or territory when I started with the company?
I have a really hard time trying to grasp why this would happen. Why would God let this happen 3 weeks before our daughter is born? I was a wreck. Stressing and crying emotionally. I could not get over what had just happened, and it all came out of no where. They agreed to pay me all of my outstanding commissions, which I do believe they legally have to do. I know what all of you are thinking, isn't this illegal? I called my best friend from high school who is now a lawyer for advice. It is illegal. Very Very illegal. If I was working for a corporation, or was someones employee I could have sued for everything. Since I was an independent contractor the terms are different. Since I was not a technically an employee it would be my word against theirs. I am still very frustrated and angered on why this is happening to us. I just have to trust that God has a greater plan in mind for Dustin and myself. We have been through this before. Dustin was unemployed for almost a year, and we know how to really buckle down. I am just going to enjoy the rest of my pregnancy, focus on Kaylee, and find a job when I feel ready to head back to work. Hopefully I can find something by January. God has let me see several things, after my emotional day on Tuesday. I was not truly happy with my job anymore. I hated getting up most days and working for them. I had a bad taste in my mouth from the last conference call I had with the owners son. I would be in a horrible mood most afternoons, because I was tired of dealing with all of the retail bs. I know now that there was a reason for my job loss. God knew that I was comfortable where I was, and would not make a full initiative to go out and find something else. Instead I would just stay with my job, and continue to be miserable. I am still very angry with my company for the way this entire thing was handled. I just hope that my remaining commissions will be enough to get us by till I am ready to find something else!
Please keep Dustin and I in your prayers. Please also pray for my sister-in-law Ashley. She lost her job as well a couple weeks ago. She is getting married in October, and searching high and low for something. Hopefully both of us will find fabulous jobs that we love!

Last Weekend Getaway to Boerne
Dustin and I headed to Pipe Creek to my parents place for one last weekend getaway, before Miss Kaylee makes her appearance. My Mom came along with us, because it was my parent's Anniversary and my Dad was in Eagle Pass. So we celebrated their anniversary with her! We ate out every meal and had a great time; Happy 39 years Mom and Dad.
We arrived on Friday, and of course Trigger had to venture around. He got in the pool, ran up and down the yard, and even ate a little deer poop (his favorite pass time). That evening we went into town and ate at the Hungry Horse. They have amazing chicken fried steak! Boy am I going to miss eating fatty foods when the baby comes! Saturday morning we all got up pretty early. Dustin and Trigger went for a run. Mom, Millie, and myself sat on the back porch just enjoying the piece and quite. Trigger went for a swim in the creek, and even chased a couple deer. He was in heaven. After breakfast we headed into town to run a couple errands. We also did some shopping. Dustin did not enjoy the shopping part, but he acted like a champ anyways. Mom and I went into a little shop called the Owl's Nest, and found some super cute paintings. I have been looking for a couple things to put on the wall over the changing table to finish off the room. I fell in love with these, and think they are the perfect fit! A divorce lawyer out of San Antonio paints them on the weekend. The funny thing is that her husband is a marriage counselor and she is a divorce lawyer. Guess they have a pretty good business plan going there. Ha! I think the angel pictures are a great finishing touch. I went to Aaron Brothers today to get frames, and have the mattes cut. I think they turned out super cute!
We went and ate lunch at a new really good burger joint called Dog and Pony Grill. If you are ever in Boerne I highly recommend it. We followed up the afternoon with a nice relaxing time by the pool. Well as relaxing as it can get with Trigger jumping in and out of the water, and running around like the idiot that he is. Of course he would not share the float with anyone again!
My mom even bought him this big Jolly Ball at the feed store, and he had the greatest time running around with it. I wish I would have taken a picture of him with it, he is so crazy. That night we went and ate at Carrabba's for my Mom and Dad's Anniversary. Too bad Dad couldn't come. The food and bread pudding were amazing! We had such a great weekend! Next time we head to Pipe Creek Miss Kaylee will be in tow!

Caught Ya!
I have been so frustrated lately when I get ready everyday. I don't even wash my hair everyday anymore, because I sweat so bad while getting ready. I know TMI. I am so hot ALL the time, and getting ready for me right now is like I have run a full marathon. I have a fan that blows directly on me the entire time, and I still sweat like I am working out. This heat is something else that frustrates me. It is a pointless effort for me to even get ready, and go work out in the heat all day long. I am beyond ready for this baby to come. I can't even get the clothes out of the dryer anymore. My belly is in the way, and I can't carry the basket. I have to wait for Dustin to carry the baskets for me. Pathetic! The next 4 weeks can not come quick enough. I am very ready to meet this little one.
Anyways! I was in a bad mood and a hurry to get out the door this morning after getting ready. I usually have to do a sweep through the house, and make sure that it is "Trigger Proof". Everything has to be put away and out of his reach. If not when we come home whatever it might be will be in a million tiny pieces scattered through out the house. I quickly did the sweep and scurried out the door dripping sweat still from getting ready. I get down I-10 to Westgreen and realize I did not put the cookies on the counter in the pantry. I exit, you turn, and speed home. I snuck into the house, because I was sure they both had devoured the yummy cookies that were left on the counter already. No one came to greet me as I came in....this means one thing, TROUBLE. I turn the corner to the kitchen and I can not believe my eyes. Trigger is standing on the counter top, and Millie is patiently sitting on the floor. She was waiting for Trigger to push the cookie container onto the floor so they could have them a morning snack! What a team. Too bad I ruined their plan, and no one got cookies. Trigger stood on the counter for a minute starring at me, like "oh shit". Millie quickly caught on and ran back to living room and laid down. I swear these 2 never seem to surprise me!
Don't let them fool you...they aren't as innocent as they look!

Getting Close!
We are getting close! I am 34 weeks now, and getting more uncomfortable by the day! I feel good, but the swelling has started to set in. My wedding rings no longer fit, and on a good day I can still get my Aggie ring on. My feet and legs start to swell by the end of the day, and it is very uncomfortable. I also have troubles standing up, and just moving around in general. Other than that I still feel pretty good. I went to the doctor last Monday, and have had a lot of pressure. The doctor said that the baby has dropped, but other than that no other movement.
Wednesday night Dustin and I took a breastfeeding class. Dustin came just for moral support, and his face was priceless the entire class! Surprisingly the men in the class asked more questions then the women. Dustin looked at me and said "who is going to be doing the breastfeeding in their house?". HA! One of the men even had the nerve to ask the instructor when his wife can start working out again...I wanted to slap him for her! What a great husband for going with me and sitting through a class where every other word was breast for 2 1/2 hours.
Millie had surgery on Tuesday. Last week she had a bump jump up on her face by her eye. I thought she had been bit by a spider. After a couple days of giving her Bendryl and it not going down I took her to the vet. They did a biopsy of the lump, and it had abnormal cells in the biopsy. This means that she had some form of cancer. They decided the best option would be to take the lump off. We decided that while she was under to have her teeth cleaned as well. They also found a tooth that she had chipped and was infected, so they decided to pull the tooth. Thank goodness we have already met our deductible for our pet insurance. They paid for the tumor procedure and tooth pull. Saved us A LOT of money. I highly recommend getting pet insurance for your dogs! We are still waiting on the results of the tumor.
This weekend we stayed here in Katy and took an online birthing class, and cleaned up my office. Next weekend we are planning on going to Pipe Creek, since we most likely wont be able to go again till after the baby is born and settled. This heat is absolutely miserable for me, so i basically do not go outside unless it is an emergency or if I need to for work. So I am looking forward to going to Pipe Creek, putting on my very flattering maternity swim suit, and soaking up some rays in the pool.

Lufkin Shower and the Nursery
This past weekend Dustin and I headed to Lufkin to my shower. We got so much stuff! Kaylee may not ever have to wear the same thing twice for an entire year! We also got our stroller car seat combo from Dustin's Aunts and Granny (YAY!!), and our pack-and-play. We got so much great stuff again! My Mom and sister also came up for the day with my 2 nephews. Dustin babysat Ryder, and the rest of us went to the shower. We are pretty much set. We are so blessed to have such great family and friends. Here are some pictures from the shower this weekend:
Our house is slowly being taken over by baby stuff! Dustin has been so great about putting the stuff together. He is always more "on the ball" than I am, so it's great to have someone that wants to get stuff done. If it was up to me we may not even have the crib and room put together till about 2 days before she is born. Ha. I am just a HUGE procrastinator. We have the nursery just about ready, and clothes washed up to 6 months. Here are a couple pictures (You may notice the "wheres waldo" in one of the pictures, Trigger is so nosey):
We are running out of room to put things, so our dining room is the storage area for now.
Since my doctors office now gives you an option on where to birth we went and toured the new Methodist hospital today. Memorial Hermann is a really nice hospital, but Methodist is just a little bit nicer. I am pretty sure that this is where Miss Kaylee will make her appearance. The rooms are HUGE and all of their facilities are super fancy. We are getting close, and Dustin and I are REALLY excited. Only 6 1/2 weeks or less!! I am so ready to meet our wonderful little surprise! Wonder who she is going to look like?? I am still doing good! Just very tired and HOT!! Seriously can't we have some temperatures under 100 degrees??
