MERRY CHRISTMAS

OK I really have got to get better at blogging! I know Thanksgiving to Christmas is a bit of a streach! We have been super busy, and of course always on the go. Let me sum up the month of December for everyone...

Dustin has still been working in Lufkin with his Dad, and I have been working here in Houston. It is not the most ideal way to start off a marriage, but it makes us appreciate each other and how much we love each other. It really shows you all you have to be thankful for in life! My job has been super busy jumping from Chicago, Dallas, and Atlanta in January. Thanks to Charming Charlie, one of my key accounts, they have really helped pay our bills these last few months!

That is enough job talk, now on to the fun things! We celebrated my friend Amber's 30th birthday the 2nd weekend in December at my parents place in Boerne! She had a great birthday present(although she waited to long to tell us), SHE'S PREGGERS! We could not be more excited for them! They are the greatest people, and willing to do anything for you at a drop of a hat. I can not wait to meet their little BOY....they do not know what it is yet, but i think it is a boy ;). We had a blast in Boerne, even though the weather was yucky the whole weekend so no one could see how pretty the place really is. Guess that means we will have to do another trip soon!

My little cousin Ty also played in Austin in the 4A State Championship. I went to go watch him with my Mom's side of the family. He is the starting quarterback for Brenham, even though they lost I could not be more proud of him. He is only a junior so he has another year, it just broke my heart to see how sad he was when they lost.

That Sunday I got up and my parents took me to Livingston to meet Dustin and his family at Shrimp Boat Manny's for lunch, before I rode back to Lufkin with them. We then spent the week in Lufkin. This time I got the "de tour de Lufkin". I am now a Lufkin expert! I went to Target, Walmart (which is an experiance in its self), Sam's,Moralizes, and Mar Teres. Let me tell you this Tea room is to DIE FOR! They have the most amazing chicken spagetti, not to mention their out of this world deserts. Wednesday night a bad storm came through Lufkin. I was up half the night with a terrified Trigger, and not suprising Dustin slept through the whole thing. A tornado went through Lufkin destroying many homes and businesses. Christmas Eve Dustin finished off my "tour de Lufkin", by taking me by all the wreckage. It was really sad, and their was a TON of damage. Poor families who did not have a very Merry Christmas. That night we went to the Clark Family Christmas at Aunt Tooties. Aunt Tootie was recently diagnosed with stomach cancer, so it was a very emotional Clark Christmas. Please say prayers for Aunt Tootie and her family! We then topped off the Clark Christmas by opening presents at 3:30am! That's right I said 3:30am, my husband is like a child and wakes everyone up BEFORE the crack of dawn to open presents. I think he is going to be very disappointed when we have our own kids, and I have to brake the whole Santa thing to him...haha j/k. We then went back to sleep for a couple hours and where on the move again.

We left Lufkin around 9am to head to Weimar to do Beken/Boeer Christmas. Let me tell you, if we had a child I have no idea where it would have sat in the Tahoe. We had it loaded to the celing, AND a reciver hitch with crap on the back. We made a pit stop in Katy to drop the dogs and gifts off. We then slid in late to Weimar (suprise suprise)to eat lunch. After lunch we did our Dirty Santa, which always gets mean and crude. Since liquor is always invovled the outcome usually comes with yelling and fighthing. This year I stole a bottle of Gentlemans Jack from Popo, and he took it back from me! I was shocked on how into it he got as well! We then sat down to a game of Christmas Bingo, which also included yelling and screaming. My Mom's side of the family are WAY to competitive. I however won the pot, which was a whopping 42 dollars. We then started to pack things up to head back to Katy to do Boeer Christmas. We however did not get very far since the Tahoe would not start! The key would go in the ingnition but would not turn over. So we had to leave it there and ride back with my parents. This then brought me back to thinking thank GOD we unloaded all our presents in Katy before heading to Weimar. We then did Christmas with my parents, and headed home and hit the hay IMEDIATILY!

Things have yet to slow down here. We have all the Christmas decorations down, and leave tommrow to go to Boerne, and South Texas till the New Year. So happy New Year and catch up with us in 2010....if you can!

Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving! We went to Lufkin to hang out with the Clark side. We had a blast and ate really well! Thursday after a super great lunch at Granny's we headed to College Station for the A&M vs. t.u. game. The Aggie's lost, but showed what great potential they have! They had the t-sips shaking in their cleats the whole time!

We came home Sunday and put up the Christmas decorations in the house. Here are a couple pictures of the house.

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving....Let the Christmas shopping begin!

Pot Roast anyone?

Well Trigger and Dustin are back in Lufkin working this week. Last night I get a call and all i hear is "well your son ate half the pot roast". Dustin said he jumped on the counter last night while no one was looking, and ate a good chunk out of their fully cooked smothered in gravy pot roast. I have had Momma Clark's pot roast first hand, and it is nothing to waste! It is soooo good, no wonder Trigger decided to just try it out himself! I am sure he had gravy dripping from those huge lips has he lapped up half their dinner. Guess it was nice of him to share the second half with everyone else. When Trigger is around, you never know what is going to happen! Below is a picture of the pot roast thief...might want to remember that face next time you put a roast on!

15 years later and....

This weekend was the opening of deer season, and for the past 15 years I have gone with my Dad to shoot "the perfect buck". Through the 15 years we have seen many, many, and many of buck come by, and many were legal to shoot. My father, however felt that a "better buck" was always going to come along, and they never did. Many of times I have sat in the blind frustrated, and even pondered just sticking the gun out the window and shooting anyways. I did not do this, but this weekend I FINALLY got my big buck. This past Saturday evening, he came out and I got a shot on him, and unlike last year I did not miss. I actually took the big boy down about 20 yards from where I shot him! Dad was sleeping of course when he came out of the brush, so I hit him on the leg and stuck my gun out the window before he could even get the binoculars up to take a look at him. Since his butt was turned to us for about 2 minutes, I had plenty of time to settle my self down and steady my hand for the shot. He is a 10 point, who was super fat, and will make great sausage! Here is a couple pictures of my "perfect buck", ONLY 15 years overdue.

As for Dustin, no buck....yet! Guess I am the only Clark who has bragging rights so far this year! ;)

Hunter's Eve

This weekend is the official kick off of deer season. Dustin is heading to Lufkin to hunt with his Dad, and I am heading to Weimar to hunt with mine. We have a bet going on who can put the biggest set of horns on the ground. Wonder who it will be???....we shall see! I wish everyone good luck who heads out tomorrow, and happy hunting!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN....a week late

Well we had a blast on Halloween! The aggies won, and so did Texas State against SFA, who was #1 in their conferance. Saturday after we fried everything you could possiably think of, we headed back to the plex to get ready for Chris and Stacey's Halloween Party. Dustin was a Whoopie couision, and I was Khloe Kardashian. Amber was Kourtney and Morgan was Kim, we were a hit! I have not had a chance to download the pictures, but will post some soon!

HAPPY FRIDAY!

Happy Friday everyone! I am dragging this morning since I did not get home till after midnight. Last night I went to see the play Mary Popins with some of the girls. The performance was amazing, and the special effects were unbelievable. It is defiantly a must see! Today we head to College Station for football once again! Halloween night we are going to a party, and Amber, Morgan and I are dressing up as the Kardashian sisters. I will post pictures later. HAVE A HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!

WHOA WHOA YA YA OOOOOOO.....

Odd title isn't it? I will explain! This weekend we went to Boerne for my Dad's 61 birthday...I know, I know he doesn't look a day past 30! We left Friday morning and my Mom rode with Dustin, the dogs, and myself. Courtney and Ryder joined us later Friday afternoon, to start the birthday celebration. We rode around later Friday on the RTV to look at the animals, and this is what came out of little Ryder's mouth....WHOA WHOA YA YA...OOOOOOOOOOOOOO. He is becoming so verbal, and starting to repeat EVERYTHING you say! He is into everything and always on the go...unless you are riding on the RTV where he sees the animals and points. It was so cute, and it's exciting to watch him grow into an adorable young man! I guess I should explain the "ya ya" part. He has a doggie named Lila, and he calls her "ya ya". Not just Lila is "ya ya", anything that is on 4 legs and has fur is a "ya ya". Saturday we got up and did some work around the house. Mostly this weekend we relaxed, drank Lonestar Light, and watched football...it was wonderful! Happy 61 Birthday Dad, hope it was a good one! This week Dustin is heading into Lufkin to work, and I am staying here working. He will be taking Trigger with him again, and I apologize to Grandma and Grandpa Clark in advance for anything he does. Last week he tore up Grandma's rug. What are we going to do with him?? This weekend we are off to College Station for A&M football and Halloween. Keep up with us if you can!

Supper Club Recipes

So before I forget, here are the recipes from tonight!!

Mexican Chicken Spaghetti...I made it low fat, but if you wanna fatten it up feel free

1 lb. Chicken breast (or 3 breasts)
one box of wheat or low carb spaghetti noodles
1 lb. of 2% Velveeta
1 can cream of chicken
1 can rotelle (half drained)
1 small can of black olives (drained)
1/2 an onion
chopped pickled jalapenos
16oz chicken broth

boil the chicken broth and chicken breasts for 30 min. Take chicken breasts out and chop into small chunks, and boil the noodles in the same broth/water combo. In a sauce pan melt the Velveeta and cream of chicken. Add the rotelle, black olives, onion, salt, pepper, garlic salt, and jalapenos. I added some of the broth from the noodles to so it would not be so dry. Mix noodles, chicken and cheese mixture together. Bake for 30 minutes on 350, and add shredded cheese to the top at the end.

Pumpkin Dump Cake

30oz canned pumpkin puree
12oz evaporated milk
1 cup sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp salt
2 tsp pumpkin spice
1 box yellow cake mix
1/2 cup pecans
1 cup light butter

Mix the first 6 ingredients together. In a 9x13 greased pan pour pumpkin batter, and sprinkle yellow cake mix on top. Add pecans, and pour melted butter on top. Bake in the oven at 350 for 50 minutes. YUM!

Supper Club

Some of my friends and I do a supper club about once a month on Wednesdays. This week is my week, and I decided to go with a Halloween theme. I plan on using Dustin and my carved pumpkins as the center pieces, and making some really yummy grub! I am making a Mexican chicken spaghetti, pumpkin seed salad with a balsamic vinaigrette dressing, and my Mom's pumpkin dump cake! I will post the recipes after our dinner tomorrow for all of you to try! Cross your fingers it is D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S!

It has been awhile!

I know I am the worst blogger in the history of bloggers at this point. We have been super busy between Aggie football, and every other thing we do on the weekends. We are definitely the on the go couple! We have had a great time though! This week Dustin went to go work in Lufkin with his Dad, so me and Mills are hanging out at my parents. I am sure Grandma and Grandpa are LOVING the fact that Dustin brought crazy man Trigger home with him!

Speaking of crazy man...Trigger and Millie went to the vet for their yearly exam, and big shocker Trigger lost weight. We have tried EVERYTHING, this boy will just not put on weight. We are trying something new and feeding him soft dog food with his dry (thanks Amber for the idea), and it seems to be working. He loves it! I am just waiting for the day he figures out it is dog food, and stops eating it! Millie also had another scare. Her heartworm test came back a slight positive. We had to go back and take another test, and they assured us everything is fine and she is heartworm free.

I love fall time! The cool weather, the smell, the pumpkins and other fall decorations....The weather has been so nice we have been leaving our windows and doors open! Here is a picture of Trigger this weekend fighting outside with his bear. He wanted his bear to enjoy the nice weather outside too!

Dustin and I carved pumpkins Sunday afternoon with our neighbors Steven, Millicent, and Junior. I am allergic to pumpkins, and break out into a rash all over my body...soooo I got to wear super cool yellow gloves to carve mine. Dustin did a block A&M and I carved a bat. It was a lot of fun, and I am rash free...thanks to my gloves!

Super Dog?

So when reading the title of this you are all probably saying in your head..."oh no what did Trigger do now?". Wrong this time it was our sweet little Millie. Yes Millie decided to jump off a 2 story balcony on our walk last night. As you can imagine I was a complete wreck after it happened. Good thing I have a wonderful husband to "try" and get me back under control. We do not know what got into her. On our Sunday walks we usually go in all the new under construction houses, because they have cleaned them up free of nails, and the workers are not there. Well this time we went upstairs of one of the houses and Millie went out on the balcony and leaped off! I couldn't look just screaming bloody murder and shaking, so scared my little baby just committed suicide. We rushed her to an animal emergency room and waited patiently. Almost $600.00 later, Millie has a cast and lot's of pain killers. She didn't brake her leg (thank goodness), but she did pull the ligaments in her leg. So now she has to wear a cast on her little leg for 2 weeks. Poor baby! Trigger of course thinks its a new toy and anytime she moves pounces around her like the idiot that he is. Here is a picture of poor Millie in her little cast before we left the hospital. I could defiantly go the rest of my life with out one of my "children" furry or human in a hospital. The Clark's learned a valuable lesson this weekend. I will also post pictures of the river later...we had a blast!

Worst Blogger in the World

This title is very fitting for this person. She said she was going to start a blog when she had her baby, and there is one post. That's right one! Now I know this little man keeps her busy, but come on! I am always DYING to know what he is doing! Who is this person I am talking about....well check below:

THAT'S RIGHT...it's my sister Courtney. She is the ultimate worst blogger in the world. I keep checking her page hoping she has updated something! Nope nothing. So Court, I know you read this, so COME ON UPDATE YOUR BLOG! I KNOW I am not the only person who wants to know what Mr. Ryder is up too. Plus I love to look at pictures of him! UPDATE YOUR BLOG! Thanks, and have a great day!

Wonderful Weekends

I love weekends! Who doesn't? No work and all play, well sometimes play. This weekend we stayed at home, but still managed to make it an eventful weekend. Friday we went up to Moe's bar here in Katy to see Cory Morrow. We had a great time with all my old Katy/college friends. Below are some pictures from the concert.

Saturday morning I threw Emily a baby shower at the house with Amber, and Dustin headed to the lake with the boys. Emily's baby shower went great, and she got a lot of awesome stuff. Since Amber and I had the rest of the afternoon to relax with out husbands bossing us around, we did not know what to do! We decided to head to the Cinco Ranch beach club, and layout and get some sun. We had a great time, until we get the "call". The boys called and they broke down on Nathan's boat. I am convinced that Dustin and I are bad luck for Nathan's boat. Every time one of us go out on it the boat breaks down. EVERYTIME! See Clark's are bad luck! So after a couple hours of just drifting, the coast guard finally towed them back in. Amber and I then packed things up and went to the store and got stuff for burgers. We then meet the boys at the Hayden's ate and came home. It was a very eventful weekend. Yesterday Dustin and I went to the movies to see "Hangover". It was awesome, so funny, I was laughing the entire movie. It is a must see movie for sure! This weekend we head to Canyon Lake for the Randy Rogers Festival and Float.

Happy Birthday Dustin!

Happy Birthday to my wonderful loving husband, Dustin. I made him a homemade carrot cake tonight. I am also not the best baker, but it turned out OK. I also got to use my new mixer that I got as a wedding gift from Dustin's grandma and aunts. Anyways, we are going to Buffalo Wild Wings in the Village tomorrow night if anyone would like to join. We are meeting around 6-6:30. I will post pictures of the birthday boy later. Happy Birthday Dustin!

Reagan's Birthday Weekend

Happy Birthday Reagan! Today Reagan, aka. Heimi, turned 26. We headed over to Dustin's old casa for his birthday party Saturday. It was a Mexican fiesta, and defiantly had plenty Mexican flare! We had a blast, so much fun we stayed the night with Amber and Chris. Thanks Forresteses for opening your home to us this weekend! After a long day and night of washers, tons of food, beer pong, and rock band, you would have thought we would have been ready to turn in for the night. Instead we went down to Chris and Amber's apartment pool for some late night....well Trigger Jack swim lessons. He had a blast! We were sitting on the sun step, putting our feet in the pool, and "splish splash" Trigger is bouncing around in the water. He is not the best swimmer, but he loves it. Soooo what did we have to do? What else but fill up a baby pool in the back yard this afternoon for him to play in. Here is a couple pictures of his afternoon swim:

He would run from one side of the backyard and fly in the pool and splash around. What did Millie do? Well this:

She is not a huge fan of the water, so she was just a "sun bathing babe", and soaked up rays by the pool. I think she was just wondering what in the hell is wrong with Trigger, like usual. Hope everyone else had an eventful weekend. This Wednesday is Dustin's 26th Birthday. I will post what his birthday activities will be on Tuesday.

Memorial Day Weekend

Don't you just love 3 day weekends? We had a very productive weekend here at the Clark household. Friday we cooked shrimp and Lindy came over to join in the festivities. Dustin thought he broke his lawnmower, so as you can imagine there was pleasant conversations with himself in the garage. It turned out that he did not brake the lawnmower it only needed an oil change, or something like that. Saturday morning we got up and went to Weimar to help my Dad clean up the farm. There is still ALOT of work to do on both places, but we did clear alot of shrubs and branches from the trees. One branch was waiting for a gust of wind to take down my Grandma Boeer's house. Don't worry because they got it down, cut, and burned all in one day! Thanks Dustin, Dad and GW, y'all did a great job! Sunday we cooked fajitas with the neighbors, and the Forresteseses, Fisher's, and Lindy came to join in the festivities as well. We had a couple beers, filled our belly's, and played washers. Today we decided to head down to the neighborhood pool that opened this weekend. We really planned on going on Sunday, BUT rain ruined that for us, so we went today instead. Due to over crowding, and the men smoking ribs and chicken at the house, we took the party back to the street. Millocent and I proceeded to look like white trash and lay out on the driveways. The Mexicans working on the houses all around us really seemed to enjoy the show! We ate a great dinner, watched a movie, and now are laying in bed. What a great 3 day weekend of relaxation. We would also like to thank all the veterans for serving our free, wonderful country. God Bless America!

The Past 3 Months...

WOW....its official I am the worst blogger in blogging history...besides my sister! Sorry guys for not updating this like I should. Well a lot has happened in the past 3 months. For one Dustin and I are married now! YEAH! We got hitched on April, 4 2009. Our wedding was amazing, and was everything and more than I could have ever wanted. We went on our honeymoon to Puerto Vallerta, which was also amazing! Here is a picture from the honeymoon:

Now we are just getting back into the swing of things, and working. This past weekend we went to Lufkin to celebrate a belated Mother's Day, and had a blast. Thanks Momma,Papa Clark and Ashley for such a great weekend.

Millie and Trigger are doing fine. Millie is still annoyed with Trigger, and Trigger is still annoying. Just kidding, I love him. He recently just got a shock collar due to his lack of listening. He has been doing really well...until the collar comes off, then its back to crazy Trigger Jack gallivanting through the house, jumping around, knocking over anything or anyone in his path.

I promise I will try not to be the worst blogger in the world for now on, that is behind my sister! :)

Howl at the Moon...

This title is exactly what our crazy Vizsla Trigger did tonight. Everyone knows that Trigger is like that crazy child that you can never take in public, because you are scared of what he might do to embarrass you. Well today Trigger discovered the moon. Dustin and the boys were outside this afternoon, playing some pre super bowl washers. Dustin came running in for me to come outside "to see what my son is doing". Whenever he says that phrase to me, I truly never know what to expect. So sure enough I walk outside and to my surprise he is barking and howling at the moon. Trigger has a personality and attention span of a two year old, so you never really know what he is thinking or doing for that matter. The moon was driving him crazy. He also believed that we could grab the moon from the sky and give it to him to play with. He was extremely aggravated at us when we would not go into outer space and bring the moon down for him to use as a chew toy. Here is a picture of him barking and howling at the moon.(Notice Millie's facial expression, she uses it a lot when she feels he is being idiotic.)

Couples Shower

Dustin and I had our couples shower at Armadillo Palace last weekend. Thank you so much ladies who put on our wonderful shower. Dustin and I are truly blessed to have such great friends and family. They reserved part of Armadillo Palace from 3-6 and we ate, drank, opened presents, and partied it up. We got a ton of great stuff off our registry, and also had an awesome chocolate cake! Thanks Ash! Here are a couple pictures from our shower.

What do you think??

So Dustin and I were very excited to head out to Katy Friday to look at what they have done to the house. We arrive and they had 2 sides of the house bricked! YEAH! It was already dark so we did not get to see a whole lot, so we decided to come back Saturday. We headed back out Saturday had lunch with my Mom, looked at furniture, and headed to the house. Here is what it looks like now....

Here is our dilemma. We can not decide if the color of paint used on the trim is to light/yellow. What do you think??? Please let us know, if we are going to change it we have to let them know this week. I say it looks fine, but Dustin thinks it is to bright.

Will the Stress Ever End?

So as you all know, I am planning our wedding. Some how it creeped up on me and it is only 3 months away!!!! So at this point I am freaking out! Every time my Mom tells me another thing she needs to add to "her list", I get a stomach ache and have to leave the room. Although I have to say, in a half a week we have accomplished ALOT. There are so many small petty things I had forgotten about. For one example SHOES! Who forgets about shoes??? Of course I do! I really just want my wedding to be planned and I just show up and enjoy it, is that to hard to ask for? No seriously I have enjoyed the planning, and spending the time with my Mom, sister Court, and future mother and sister-in-law. Today we tried on my dress with my jewelry, and shoes; I have to say I look GOOD! My Mom just keeps saying, "I can not believe she is getting married". Along with the stress of a wedding lets add a house being built to the mix. The house has had a couple hiccups this week, but Dustin resolved them quickly. Hopefully the snowball effect of stress will melt away soon. For the sake of my sanity and everyone around me that is!

It has been awhile....

WOW...its been awhile since I've posted anything. Guess I'll just get everyone up to speed on whats been going on. Dustin and I are building a house in Katy in the Pine Mills Ranch subdivision. The house is coming along well. This past weekend Dustin, his Dad, and Reagan went and did some extra wiring on things. Thanks so much Papa Clark for coming in and helping us out. We could not have done it all with out you! Here is a picture of the house so far.
This week we have a orientation with the builder to do the sheet rock and then they start on the brick as well. They said it should be done by February 12, so I guess we will see what happens!. We also had a very busy, wonderful holidays! We left for Lufkin Christmas Eve, and Dustin and I agreed that is something we will never do again! The traffic was horrible and we were both starving, and it took us 3 hours to do a 2 hour drive! Once we got to Lufkin we had a wonderful time. We went to the Clark Christmas, and I got to meet all of the Clark side. After stuffing my self with every kind of food imaginable, we went to Aunt Sandy's for Chinese Christmas. That was fun, and I loved watching all his baby cousins opening presents and parading around. Here is a picture of Harley's first tractor ride on the new tractor.

Christmas morning we went to Granny's, again ate to much food, but had a great time. Friday was Granny's 80th birthday so we went to lunch at Cheddars and went back to the house for cake and presents. Below is a picture of Granny, her kids and the grand kids.

Saturday the 27th we packed back up and headed to Katy for Christmas with the Boeer's. That night we went to the Taste of Texas, my favorite place to get a steak, and once more stuffed ourselves beyond belief. You would think with a wedding in 3 months I would have shied away from all the food. Here is a couple pictures from the Taste of Texas.

Sunday morning we got up and opened our presents. This was Ryder's first Christmas, and of course he got more presents than any of us did! Here he is in his cute Christmas onsie.
Monday morning we got up and went to Eagle Pass to the Trigon Tubulars Camp. This has been a tradition that we have done for 5 years. We all had a blast enjoying the time in south Texas especially the sunsets by the campfire.
x

Thanks to everyone who made our Christmas so enjoyable!
