MERRY CHRISTMAS

OK I really have got to get better at blogging! I know Thanksgiving to Christmas is a bit of a streach! We have been super busy, and of course always on the go. Let me sum up the month of December for everyone...

Dustin has still been working in Lufkin with his Dad, and I have been working here in Houston. It is not the most ideal way to start off a marriage, but it makes us appreciate each other and how much we love each other. It really shows you all you have to be thankful for in life! My job has been super busy jumping from Chicago, Dallas, and Atlanta in January. Thanks to Charming Charlie, one of my key accounts, they have really helped pay our bills these last few months!

That is enough job talk, now on to the fun things! We celebrated my friend Amber's 30th birthday the 2nd weekend in December at my parents place in Boerne! She had a great birthday present(although she waited to long to tell us), SHE'S PREGGERS! We could not be more excited for them! They are the greatest people, and willing to do anything for you at a drop of a hat. I can not wait to meet their little BOY....they do not know what it is yet, but i think it is a boy ;). We had a blast in Boerne, even though the weather was yucky the whole weekend so no one could see how pretty the place really is. Guess that means we will have to do another trip soon!

My little cousin Ty also played in Austin in the 4A State Championship. I went to go watch him with my Mom's side of the family. He is the starting quarterback for Brenham, even though they lost I could not be more proud of him. He is only a junior so he has another year, it just broke my heart to see how sad he was when they lost.

That Sunday I got up and my parents took me to Livingston to meet Dustin and his family at Shrimp Boat Manny's for lunch, before I rode back to Lufkin with them. We then spent the week in Lufkin. This time I got the "de tour de Lufkin". I am now a Lufkin expert! I went to Target, Walmart (which is an experiance in its self), Sam's,Moralizes, and Mar Teres. Let me tell you this Tea room is to DIE FOR! They have the most amazing chicken spagetti, not to mention their out of this world deserts. Wednesday night a bad storm came through Lufkin. I was up half the night with a terrified Trigger, and not suprising Dustin slept through the whole thing. A tornado went through Lufkin destroying many homes and businesses. Christmas Eve Dustin finished off my "tour de Lufkin", by taking me by all the wreckage. It was really sad, and their was a TON of damage. Poor families who did not have a very Merry Christmas. That night we went to the Clark Family Christmas at Aunt Tooties. Aunt Tootie was recently diagnosed with stomach cancer, so it was a very emotional Clark Christmas. Please say prayers for Aunt Tootie and her family! We then topped off the Clark Christmas by opening presents at 3:30am! That's right I said 3:30am, my husband is like a child and wakes everyone up BEFORE the crack of dawn to open presents. I think he is going to be very disappointed when we have our own kids, and I have to brake the whole Santa thing to him...haha j/k. We then went back to sleep for a couple hours and where on the move again.

We left Lufkin around 9am to head to Weimar to do Beken/Boeer Christmas. Let me tell you, if we had a child I have no idea where it would have sat in the Tahoe. We had it loaded to the celing, AND a reciver hitch with crap on the back. We made a pit stop in Katy to drop the dogs and gifts off. We then slid in late to Weimar (suprise suprise)to eat lunch. After lunch we did our Dirty Santa, which always gets mean and crude. Since liquor is always invovled the outcome usually comes with yelling and fighthing. This year I stole a bottle of Gentlemans Jack from Popo, and he took it back from me! I was shocked on how into it he got as well! We then sat down to a game of Christmas Bingo, which also included yelling and screaming. My Mom's side of the family are WAY to competitive. I however won the pot, which was a whopping 42 dollars. We then started to pack things up to head back to Katy to do Boeer Christmas. We however did not get very far since the Tahoe would not start! The key would go in the ingnition but would not turn over. So we had to leave it there and ride back with my parents. This then brought me back to thinking thank GOD we unloaded all our presents in Katy before heading to Weimar. We then did Christmas with my parents, and headed home and hit the hay IMEDIATILY!

Things have yet to slow down here. We have all the Christmas decorations down, and leave tommrow to go to Boerne, and South Texas till the New Year. So happy New Year and catch up with us in 2010....if you can!
